When I paint a dog portrait I work closely with the owner to create a painting that captures the unique personality of their dog.  The finished painting will be both an accurate representation of the dog as well as being a piece of art that can be enjoyed by family and friends for a life time.  My style of painting is a thick ala prima impasto, done in oil without added mediums.  It is reminiscent of Van Gogh.  For more information about my unique painting technique and my pet portrait process, please feel free to contact me.

All portraits are painted on 12 ounce cotton duck canvas; triple primed with acrylic gesso; stretched on heavy duty wood frames; gallery wrap style, so that the sides of the canvas may be painted.  The painting may be hung without a frame if you choose.
